Day 36 ~ Moscow, Russia

We awoke on the train going from Kiev to Moscow in the morning. The train took until 2:00 PM Moscow time to arrive.

We didn't get a very good impression when we got off the train. We were trying to check the prices for the metro when some random guy starting asking us questions in Russian, but that wasn't the worst part, he continued asking us questions while getting directly in front of us and blocking our way. At least once we got inside the metro there were no more of those guys. They seemed to just be shady taxi drivers trying to sell taxi rides for a high price to tourists. Still, kind of annoying that they get in our way when we just got off the train.

Anyway, we took the metro and got off at the station near our hotel. The weather wasn't really good though. It wasn't cold, it was kind of warm and all the snow was melting, so it was wet and slushy everywhere. Walking to the hotel was kind of annoying, but we finally made it.

Before leaving Ukraine we found out that our hotel had been reserved from January 2 to 5 instead of from January 3 to 5. We tried to email and call them to tell them to change our reservation, but in the end they told us it just got fully cancelled.

Thankfully there was no cancellation fee, and they gave us a room for January 3 to 5. We finally went up and arrived at our room. We waited a bit and then went to eat at the restaurant of the hotel before ending the day.
