Day 73 ~ Utsunomiya, Japan

Instead of going to our destination and then finding a place to eat, this time we headed to Tokyo Station and ate at a vegan ramen restaurant there before leaving. After eating, we took the shinkansen north to Utsunomiya.

After that we headed to visit the ruins of the Utsunomiya Castle and the nearby park.

I also just noticed that a strange spot is appearing in the corner of all my pictures! I'll have to see if it's just dust. Hopefully it's not something that's going to get worst.

Anyway, the ruins of the castle was pretty much just two small buildings and a wall.

After that we headed north and went to visit a shrine there.

From there we continued going north and ended up at another shrine.

And then we arrived at Utsunomiya Tower. Only 190 yen to go up and the view was not too bad.

We then headed back down and saw something nearby. I'm not too sure what it is.

There was a bridge nearby so we crossed it.

There was a kid's playground on the other side. So we headed back. We saw a few other things on the way.

We then headed back near the train station. We visited a big shopping mall nearby that has eyes on the outside.

After visiting the mall for a bit, we took the shinkansen back to Tokyo and headed home.
