We left our apartments early in the morning and headed to the train station. We then took the train all the way to Sendai. It only takes about an hour and a half by Shinkansen.
We found a place to eat near the train station in Sendai. I ate some egg and cucumber sandwiches.
We first headed east from the train station where there was a park and a museum nearby. The museum ended up being closed though.
We also saw a lot of cats in the park.
In the ended we headed back to the train station and then headed west. There's the SS30 building nearby which you can go up to top for free and get a view from the city. We could see the coast of Sendai from the top of the building.
After that we headed back down and tried to walk towards the ruins of the castle. However, we ended up in some residential streets.
We eventually found the right path.
It turns out some parts were closed though due to the earthquake two years ago. At least we saw some parts from outside.
It was starting to get dark, so we walked back to the train station and took the train back to Tokyo.
