Day 48 ~ Seoul, Republic of Korea

It was a bit colder today in Seoul, but still not too bad. We started the day by going to eat at a nearby restaurant. The funny thing is that it was an Italian restaurant, and the food tasted better than the Italian restaurant we ate at in Venice. After that we headed across the street to check out the shops near Seoul Station.

There were a few interesting stores. I was able to buy some new earphones for only 14500 WON (about 14$ Canadian). They're much better than the ones I had before. After that we headed out to look at some other nearby places.

We first arrived at the Sungnyemun Gate. It's still under restoration after a fire destroyed large parts of it in 2008, but we were able to see it at least. It seems to be mostly restored now. It's set to fully reopen in May of this year.

We continued walking around and then came across the Korean Stamp Museum inside the main postal office of Seoul. We went it inside and it turns out it was free to visit.

After looking at that, we headed back out. Along the way we saw a church.

We then continued and walked through multiple streets filled with stores.

We continued walking and then started to head back towards Seoul Station.

Once at the station we went inside and found a small Korean restaurant to eat supper at. We looked a bit more inside and then by the time we got out it was already dark.
