Another city done, and another departure towards a new destination. We got ready in the morning, ate a small lunch, and then left the hotel. We headed for St Pancras International and we waited there for a bit. We took the Eurostar train from London to Paris. The train only takes about two hours to make the trip. It's interesting to see the difference between this trip and the Montreal to New York trip. Both are almost the same distance, but the one between Montreal and New York is 9 hours longer!
We arrived in Paris around 6 PM. It was a bit inconvenient at the station. First we found out that the ticket machine for the metro didn't take any bills, and then it wouldn't take my credit card, so I had to go buy a small pack of chips just to get change for the metro. Once we managed to get on the metro, it was straight forward from there. We got to our hotel pretty quickly.
The room is not too bad, but it looks kind of old. We're staying at the Cabourg hotel. We had to exit the hotel from the back and then enter another building and then go up four flours to reach our room. And there is no elevator so we had to carry our backs up the stairs.
